When selling your dress, it is important to get the most out of your listing. This way brides can easily find your dress, and they are given enough information for their decision.
1. If you know what your dress is called, list that. For example, Melissa Sweet is the designer, and the dress is called, “Uma”.
2. Post as many photos and in the best quality possible. Be aware of all the various angles of the dress and be sure to include them all. Include real wedding photos if possible. Make sure to get the back, sides and even the dress in motion if possible.
3. Include all the details! The way Smart Bride works is by process of elimination. Filling in each question about the dress ensures the buyer will find your dress if that is what they are searching for. Also, include as many details as possible about the dress, the size, the way it was cleaned and basically everything else!

I think it is time to get to know the writer behind this blog, huh? Although I will confess, I haven’t been writing over here as much as I would like to! I feature all these pretty wedding dresses that are for sale, and I thought I might as well feature mine too. Because, well, I think it is pretty cool.
Here is a board I have created of my wedding dress. This is the Melissa Sweet Uma dress. I made some specific alterations including adding a sweetheart neckline to the dress, and cutting the train by a bit.
My dress is for sale right now on Smart Bride for $3500. Seeing as I paid upwards of $5,000. I think this is a pretty good deal for the buyer. If only someone was doing this when I was buying my dress!
Today’s real bridal look is a high-waist ballroom style gown complete with thin straps. I love the look of the short bodice and ballgown poof mid-waist. Something about it creates a casual take on the traditional poofy dress which keeps it fun and flirty. This girl rocked her dress and the BMs are rocking the coral right next to her!
